It’s almost time for the Christmas events in Renfrew, Paisley and Johnstone!
Here are all the festive details you need to know.
Renfrew Christmas lights switch on will take place from 12 midday on Saturday 23 November in Renfrew town centre at Renfrew Town Hall and High Street, Renfrew.
The event will include:
• Santa’s grotto
• Christmas market
• Funfair
• Live stage
• Free family festive music sessions (bookable in advance)
• Christmas Carol Concert with Renfrew Burgh Band at 3.30pm.
• Christmas lights switch on at 5.00pm.
Paisley’s Christmas is running from Thursday 28 November until Saturday 28 December in Paisley town centre, in partnership with Scotland’s Theme Park.
Highlights include:
• Undercover ice rink
• Funfair rides
• Paisley First’s Big Christmas Weekends, including Paisley’s Cosy Christmas Trail, Best Dressed Christmas Window Competition, and a Christmas Market on Saturday 7 December 2024.
Paisley’s Christmas lights will be switched on at 5.30pm on Thursday 28 November.
There’s a live stage running from 2.30pm and street acts and Christmas characters will be appearing in the town from 4pm.

Johnstone Christmas lights switch on will take place from 1.00pm onwards on Saturday 30 November in Houstoun Square, Johnstone town centre.
The festive fun will include:
• Santa’s grotto
• St Vincent’s Hospice Christmas market
• Funfair
• Live entertainment at the bandstand
• Christmas lights switch on at 5.00pm.
