21st Jun 2024

Quality Radio was at the special ceremony to mark the centenary of the unveiling of Paisley’s war memorial.

The service for Rededication took place today, Friday 21 June at 10.00am at Paisley Cenotaph at Paisley Cross.

The memorial, which features a bronze sculpture of a mounted crusader flanked by four infantrymen atop a 25 foot stone plinth, has stood at Paisley Cross in the town centre since it was unveiled 100 years ago in 1924.

After the service at the Cenotaph, attendees made their way to Renfrewshire House where the Armed Forces Day flag was raised to mark Armed Forces Day and thereafter to Paisley Abbey.

Quality Radio attended the Paisley Cenotaph Centenary Rededication, providing a quality PA system for Renfrewshire Provost, Cllr Lorraine Cameron and guests.
