Paisley live music gig guide – 7 days

Tomorrow afternoon, Saturday 13 July, at The Bungalow, it is time to get ready to groove with Smokin’ at Tiffany’s.

Feel the funk, embrace the disco, and dance the day away with one of the hottest live bands in town.

Smokin’ at Tiffany’s brings you the ultimate party vibes, blending timeless disco classics with electrifying funk beats that will keep you moving all afternoon and evening. Doors are 1.00pm and it gets busy, so don’t miss out on an epic day filled with high-energy performances, dazzling lights, and the best dance floor in Paisley. Get in early.  Free entry means you just need to bring your dancing shoes and good vibes.

Them and Us from Glasgow are a live tribute to Fleetwood Mac and Pink Floyd. The last time the band played The Bungalow they were fantastic.

Here is what they say: “Amazing band, amazing music, and amazing entertainment. Best night of my life so far. Will defo see yous again” “Fab bunch of folks, a great night out guaranteed, complete entertainment” “All the best songs from both bands played superbly.”  Tickets on the door from 7.00pm. No live music on Sunday, but there is the final of the Euros. Doors at 6.00pm game on at 8.00pm.

The Bungalow Open Stage kicks off at 7pm on Tuesday. The Jam House Band will be there to entertain the audience and help any performers that would like a bit of rhythm to their song. All backline and drumkit provided just bring your instruments and your friends.

The Bungalow Introducing Night on Thursday features Katie Lindsay, Fading Lights and The Deetees. You can get tickets on the door from 7.00pm.

The Cave have a double bill on Saturday 13 July, starting with Sad Ida at 5.00pm followed by Wreckless at 8.00pm. The 79’s will be playing at The Old Swan tonight from 8.00pm and Saturday from 4.00pm it is Keeper Lit.

The Sunday Soul Club starts at 4.00pm with John and Maria on the decks.

Crawford Carlyle will be singing on Monday 15 July from 4.00pm. Lee James as usual will be singing all the best songs from the decades as well as keeping you entertained with his jokes, stories and general piss-taking on Tuesday 16 July  and Thursday 18 July at 3.00pm. Duncan McLellan takes to the stage on Wednesday at 4.00pm.

Johnny Barr is at The Keg tonight, Friday 12 July, and no doubt he will be joined by a few friends, and tomorrow night, Saturday 13 July at the same time, the band on stage is Lateral Flow. They are a 5-piece rock covers band doing modern and classics from the likes AC/DC, Queen, My Chemical Romance, Status Quo and more with rocking party tunes from artists like Cher and ABBA too. Both nights start at 9.00pm. It is comedy time on Monday 15 July. Trevor Mills of The Keg said: “Enjoy a night of laughter with a carefully selected line up of standup comedians, from first time performers to established household names testing new material you’re in for a treat” First joke at 9.00pm!

The Thursday Keg Session for original artists and bands starts at 9.00pm.

The mighty Kong will be banging out all the best classic rock tunes from AC/DC to Thin Lizzy are at Kennedy’s on Sunday 14 July from 3.00pm. Robbie Dale will be performing on Sunday at The Tile from 3.00pm. Also, live music at The Inn on the Corner from 4.30pm.

Open Mic/Stage Sessions next week are: The Abbey at 9.00pm on Monday; Ugly Duck Monday at 7.00pm; The Gantry at 9.00pm on Tuesday; The Bungalow on Tuesday 7pm; The Keg on Wednesday at 8.30pm and The Cave from 9pm on Thursday.

And lastly – LnP Promotions have got some great gigs coming up at Paisley Town Hall.

Including Heaven 17 Friday 9 August, All or Nothing, the story of The Small Faces on Friday 6 September; and The Selecter Friday 30 August. The Bluebells on Thursday 22 August and Rhoda Dakar Friday 18 October 2024 at The Bungalow. Tickets at Ticket Scotland.
