Paisley live music gig guide for the weekend and all next week

After a smash debut in 2023, NNE are delighted to announce The Smiths Ltd are returning to The Bungalow on Friday night, 25 October 2024.

The Smiths Ltd was formed in Manchester – the UK the hometown of The Smiths.

After an extensive search to find the perfect Morrissey, the band played their first gig to an audience of avid Smiths fans. The response was spectacular, and the band now plays at venues and festivals all over the UK. This is your chance to experience the thrill of those great songs played live. If you were lucky enough to see them first time around, then prepare to relive that excitement again. Tickets on the door from 7.00pm.

The Divas Soul return tomorrow for another afternoon of Classic Motown and Soul. Get in early at 1.00pm for a good spot.

Killer Instinct, Scotland’s number 1 tribute to The Killers, are returning to The Bungalow for a full-length performance of Killers classics on Saturday night, 26 October. Tickets on the door from 7.00pm.

Ganked will be playing on Sunday 27 October with their high energy set. It is free entry and doors are 1.00pm.

After Ganked it is Bungalaff, a brilliant line up of Stand-Up Comedy for £5 including Craig Scott, Alan Ritchie, Jonathon Souter Findlay, Jimi Longmuir and Dr Grant Hughes  aka Mickey from Big Brother. The headliner is Viv Gee and your host for the evening is Richie McMahon. Tickets on the door from 7.00pm.

It’s Pint and Pint time on Tuesday. For £3 entry you get an open mic and a paint session!  Art supplies included. Tickets on the door rom 7.00pm.

On Wednesday it is a Halloween themed gig with Mary of Silence and two support bands. Tickets on the door from 7.00pm.  Save Face support from Esthers Wife and Lyrical Inc. DJ sets from Leisureland and Torrs. Tickets on the door from 7.00pm.

The Old Swan have Headhunters in on Friday night, 25 October and on Saturday 26 October, it is a 2-band bill starting with Crackerman at 3.00pm followed by Keeper-Lit at 7.00pm.

The Sunday Northern Soul Club starts at 4.00pm.  On Monday, 28 October;  Crawford Carlyle will be playing at 4.00pm, Lee James starts at 3.00pm on Tuesday 29 October and Thursday 31 October. Duncan McLellan will kick off at 4.00pm on Wednesday 30 October.

Halloween fun at The Cave starts at 5.00pm on Saturday 26 October with Cherry Red 53, followed by Wreckless at 8.00pm. On Sunday, 27 October, it is a blues jam with The State Blues Band. 7.00pm start.

At Venue on Friday 25 October, Led Zurrection (pictured) will be unleashing the power of rock with a repertoire of iconic Led Zeppelin hits and a touch of electrifying original music. You’ll experience the raw energy, spine tingling solos and anthemic vocals that define the legendary rock era. If you are ready to rock your world you can get tickets on the door from 7.00pm. The support is Harley Duchenne.

Cammy McIlwham from Proposal is doing a solo spot on Friday night, 25 October at The Keg, check out the man with the powerhouse voice. He starts at 9.00pm on Friday night and Saturday night, 26 October at 9.00pm it is The Citadels.  This is a rare chance to catch this original band who are one of The Keg’s favourites, it’s not often you get a chance to see these guys without paying for a ticket.

The Keg Sessions for original groups and artists starts at 9.00pm on Thursday 31 October. Established in 2023, The Keg Sessions is a night to check out up and coming or original artists. It’s free to attend and they have two different acts each week.

Blind Panik are playing at Kennedys on Sunday 27 October from 3.00pm and The Inn on the Corner have Fire In who start at 4.30pm.

Open Mic/Stage Sessions next week are: The Abbey at 9pm on Monday; Ugly Duck Monday at 7pm; The Gantry at 9pm on Tuesday; The Bungalow on Tuesday 7pm; The Keg on Wednesday at 8.30pm and The Wee Howff from 8pm on Thursday.  The Inn on the Corner has an Open Mic on the last Tuesday of the month.
