Renfrewshire Council will be switching the 2024 Christmas Lights on in Paisley with live entertainment and favourite Christmas tunes from 2.00pm today, Thursday 28 November.
You can join in at the Ice Rink at Paisley’s Cenotaph, Paisley Cross, to catch performances from these singer-songwriters and community groups:
- 2pm-2.30pm: Maryann McCreadie School Highland Dancing
- 2.30pm-2.45pm: Turning Point Renfrewshire, Adults Theatre group
- 2.45pm-3.15pm: Paisley Rock Choir
- 3.15pm-3.45pm: Erin Hepzibah Duo
- 3.45pm-4.15pm: Jennifer Scott Dance
- 4.15pm-4.40pm: Vision Dance Academy
- 4.40pm-5.30pm: Proposal Cover Band
- 5.30pm-5.45pm: Christmas Lights Switch On, with Renfrewshire’s Provost Lorraine Cameron; Santa and the Council Christmas Card Competition winner
- 5.45pm-6pm – Christmas Party Playlist with MC Jed McCabe
- 6pm-7pm: – includes a special performance from Shaun Moore, the Tannahill Makar – “Christmas Stars”.
Plus street acts and Christmas characters will be out and about in the town centre from 4.00 until 7.00pm.
Illuminated polar bears, giant robins, plus Santa comes to town!
Paisley’s Christmas will run from Thursday 28 November until Saturday 28 December 2024.
