What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

Opt-out policy

Recipients of our e-newsletters and/or any other correspondence can opt-out of receiving further communication from us at any time. This can be done either by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of our e-newsletters or emailing us at: admin@paisleyfm.co.uk  or calling the Paisley FM office on 0141 889 7396 or writing to us at: Paisley FM, Room J203, UWS Paisley Campus, Paisley PA1 2BE.  Should you choose to opt-out of our communications, then your data will be deleted from our records within 28 days. Where we utilise the services of marketing and other organisations to perform business functions in order to process your requests and requirements, we will contact these organisations to delete your data within 28 days, although we cannot be held responsible for non compliance from third party organisations.

Paisley FM (2017) Limited holds the Office of Communication (Ofcom) Community Radio Licence number CR102170 to transmit on 107.5 MHz FM to Paisley and Renfrewshire.  Paisley FM (2017) Limited also holds the Ofcom DSPS licence number DP102742BA to transmit and be carried on DAB digital radio on the Glasgow small-scale DAB digital radio multiplex.
