Renfrew Gala Day on Sunday 2 June is held in Robertson Park, Renfrew. The gala day promises an exciting array of toe-tapping activities for all the family including a funfair, inflatables, face painting and more.
To kick-start the day, a parade will set off from Dunlop Crescent at 12noon, led by the Renfrewshire Schools Pipe Band, and will feature a variety of local community groups.
The funfair is back in the park for thrill seekers young and old, and there will be a selection of inflatables provided by local Renfrew company Ally Bally’s Bouncy Castles.
No gala day is complete without stalls showcasing the best of the area with stalls from local traders, community groups and charities.
The McMaster Centre tearoom will be open on the day and will be serving cakes and a selection of drinks.
Local musicians and dancers will provide live entertainment throughout the day, and there are plenty of activities to take part in provided by Paisley Rugby Club, StreetStuff and the St Mirren Charitable Foundation.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Heritage Trust will be bringing a selection of heritage fire engines to the park, and Adrenalism Theatre will be performing their show, The Good, The Bad and The Poultry, throughout the day, offering plenty of opportunities for the audience to get involved and join in the fun.
Renfrewshire’s Provost Lorraine Cameron said: “Gala days are a great way to bring the local community together and really celebrate what makes Renfrew such a great place to live. It’s bound to be a brilliant day so get your cowboy boots on and come along!”
