| The results of the 2026 Scottish Parliament Election for the three constituencies in Renfrewshire and West Scotland Region have been declared.
Returning Officer Alan Russell (pictured above), Chief Executive of Renfrewshire Council, announced the results at Braehead Arena on Friday 8 May 2026. George Adam, Scottish National Party (SNP), was re–elected as MSP for the Paisley constituency. There were 31,013 votes cast, which is a 50.5% turnout. Tom Arthur, Scottish National Party (SNP), was re-elected as MSP for the Renfrewshire West and Levern Valley constituency. There were 34,393 votes cast, which was a 54.1% turnout. Michelle Campbell, Scottish National Party (SNP), was elected as MSP for the Renfrewshire North and Cardonald constituency. There were 35,150 votes cast, which was a 53.8% turnout. In addition, the West Scotland Region was also counted at Braehead Arena with the following candidates elected:
There were 335,123 votes cast in the West Scotland Region, which was a 55.7% turnout. The election count involved more than 400 staff, counting the contents of ballot boxes from 190 polling stations and postal ballot boxes. Polling places across Renfrewshire had been open from 7am until 10pm on Thursday 7 May 2026 and included various venues such as schools, community centres, churches, sports pavilions and cultural venues.
