QUALITY RADIO has launched a new health and wellbeing initiative across its coverage areas of Paisley & Renfrewshire and Glasgow.
The Quality Wellbeing Hub is a joined-up service for people requiring advice, help, support and guidance on many health and wellbeing issues.
On Tuesdays and Thursdays at 12noon, different experts in their field of health matters provide real life experience, information, support and contacts for a particular topic or health concern or how to possibly improve a person’s own life situation.
The Quality Wellbeing Hub on-air at 12noon until 1.00pm has different experts each day, so make use of this service by sending in questions by email to: admin@qualityradio.uk
The Quality Wellbeing Hub includes:
Empower – recovery from eating disorders;
Health Matters – all aspects of health, conditions, treatments and solutions and news from the health sector to include news updates from GG&C – Greater Glasgow & Clyde Health Board;
Healthy Minds Matter – the impact of occurrences such as grief, loss, trauma and change can be extremely detrimental to an individual’s mental health, physical health, wellbeing, schooling and future opportunities. Healthy Minds Matter will provide support and a better understanding of mental health matters.
Fitness Matters – has an enthusiastic individual with a great passion for sport and exercise with 20+ years experience in the field, along with a number of up-to-date qualifications and the personality and vast knowledge combine to offer a fresh and energetic approach to health and fitness.
As part of this initiative, there are also music requests and dedication programmes for people that are in hospital for treatment.
There is a weekly programme of music requests for patients at the Royal Alexandra Hospital, Paisley on Sundays at 3.00pm with host Hugh Lindsay.
And a programme of music requests, dedications for patients in the QEUH – Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow on Tuesdays at 8.00pm with host Alan Taylor.
