Paisley Pirates started their regular season campaign on a winning note, with a hard fought 3-1 triumph away against Solway Sharks.
It was a tight game, with both teams showing some great hockey, and it could have gone either way before Paisley pulled clear in the third period to get their two points.
Mylo Wylie, Chris Turley and Cammy Wilkie (pictured) all found the back of the net for the Pirates, with Wylie and Wilkie both scoring their first goals for the club – hopefully not the last!
Former Pirate Calum Hepburn had an excellent game in the Solway goal, keeping his side in the game despite being pegged back twice.
Cale Tanaka was nominated as Pirates’ Man of the Match after another tremendous display in goal.
We would like to thank all the fans that made the journey to Solway, as always we appreciated their support, and hope that they enjoyed the game and got back home safely.
The Pirates are back on the road for their next league game, as they make the trip down to Fife to take on Kirkcaldy Kestrels this Sunday 13 September.
