Johnstone Burgh welcome Scottish Highland Football League side Formartine United to Keanie Park this Saturday, 31 October, for their Scottish Gas Men’s Scottish Cup Second Round tie.
The original date for the tie was last Saturday, 24th October. Despite the pitch passing an 8:00am inspection, the game was called off at 1.30 pm due to heavy rain, which left the pitch unplayable.
The fallout from last Saturday’s late postponement continued for both teams this week.
Johnstone Burgh’s Scottish Lowland Football League West fixture against Pollok at Keanie Park and Formartine United’s Evening Express Aberdeenshire Cup semi-final against Huntly at Safelift Christie Park were both scheduled for Wednesday, 28th October. However, both matches were called off, giving the two sides a free midweek to help them prepare for this Saturday’s massive Scottish Cup tie at Keanie Park.
The winners of Johnstone Burgh FC v Formartine United FC on Saturday, 31st October, will travel to The Rock to face Scottish League Two side Dumbarton FC in the Third Round on Saturday, 28th November 2026.
