Police Officers are appealing for information and asking people to be vigilant following attempted thefts and housebreakings in the East Renfrewshire area.
Between the hours of 11.00pm on Saturday 19 September 2026, and 3.00am on Sunday, 20 September 2026, four people were seen on two vehicles, a motorbike and a moped.
The four individuals were wearing face coverings and were driving around the area.
They were seen attempting to gain access to properties in various locations, including Denholm Drive, Giffnock , Lambie Crescent, Newton Mearns, Netherburn Avenue, Clarkston and Strathview Park, Netherlee.
They managed to gain access to the rear of a house in Giffnock and stole items of food.
Extensive enquiries are under way with officers reviewing relevant CCTV footage for any additional information on the four people involved.
Officers have recovered the moped from Harvey Avenue in Giffnock. It has been seized and is undergoing a forensic examination.
Inspector Gareth Wylie said: I am appealing for help in identifying the suspects and am requesting any information including identity, sightings, dash cam or doorbell footage. Please check your footage, you could hold images which could be vital to our ongoing investigation.”
