Live music in Paisley town this weekend and all next week

Unleash the power of rock with Led Zurrection on Friday night, 4 September at The Bungalow. The band have a repertoire of iconic Led Zeppelin hits, a touch of electrifying raw energy, spine tingling solos and anthemic vocals that define the legendary rock era. Ready to rock your world?  Tickets on the door from 7.00pm.

Celebrate all things Mod with a full day of live music, smart dressers, scooters, vintage style themes and more at ModStuff in The Bungalow on Saturday 5 September.

The day starts with a spectacular scooter ride out organised by John McMahon of the Paisley Vespa Club. It starts at County Square, Paisley and heads all over Paisley and ends in Shuttle Street.

Prizes for the best scooters will be announced inside The Bungalow at 12.30pm then the music kicks off at 1.30pm. The day features performances from The Paul Weller Experience, Lemon Soul, The Lifts, The Incrowd, The 125’s, Ocean Views and Soundaffex.  And more, alongside the Kevin Stewart Memorial Ride Out and Paisley Vespa Scooter Club. All proceeds of the event go to Loud n Proud, Paisley’s Award-Winning Music Charity. Tickets on the door from 1.00pm.

It’s a first for rock n roll outfit The Plymouth 57’s on Sunday, 6 September at The Bungalow. The band play authentic early Rock n Roll the way it all started. Doors open at 1.00pm with band on approximately 2.00pm.  Pop along early and see the classic cars on the street.

The Bungalow Jam kicks off at 7.00pm on Tuesday 8 September. This week’s entertainment includes Music, Games, a Quiz and the usual Open Mic. This is free entry.

The Bungalow Wednesday Club starts at 2.00pm with an afternoon of fun from singer John Griffith of The Bobby Deans Big Band the weekly quiz.

Wednesday evening sees live club session. Doors are at 7.00pm. PaisSlay is back for more drag, comedy and raucous behaviour on Wednesday 9 September. Tickets on the door from 7.00pm.

Frank’s House, Aidan Connell and Pink Wafer are on the card for Thursday’s Introducing Night. Tickets at the door from 7.00pm.

Ronnie T kicks off at The Old Swan from 4.00pm on Friday night, 4 September, and following him is a live set from Heart Industry at 8.00pm.

Saturday 5 September at the legendary ‘T in the Swan’ – if you are one of the lucky ones to get a ticket, the action starts at 1.00pm and on every hour it is Gordon’s Alive, Epic, Distant Echo, Freight Train, The Festivals, Fire In, Lucky 13, The Signs and The Renaissance. In The Garden Stage Laura B, Graeame Miller on Sax and Small-Town Sound start at 2.00pm.

The Sunday Soul Club starts at 4.00pm at The Swan. Crawford Carlyle, who must be one of the best singers around starts at 5.00pm on Monday; Lee James on Tuesday at 3.00pm and every second Thursday at 5.00pm and alternatively sometimes it is Cammy Miller.  Duncan McLellan will be onstage on Wednesday 5.00pm.

There are live sessions as usual at The Keg on Friday night from 9.00pm and on Saturday 5 September night from 9.00pm.

On Thursday 10 September, you can discover a full line up of new or up and coming talent showcasing new original material kicking. You might find your newest favourite band.  It all kicks off at 9.00pm.

Underdog is at Kennedy’s on Friday night, 4 September from 9.00pm and on Sunday, 6 September, it is The Suspects from 3.00pm.

Later at The Inn on the Corner, the very popular Blind Panik, probably one of Paisley’s longest running bands will take to the stage on Sunday at 6.00pm.

Finally, a big shout out to Johnny Barr (pictured) hosting the Ten-Year Anniversary of The Keg’s legendary Open Mic. There will be a full house band and over 40 performers including some special guests. To fit all this all in the night starts at 7.00pm to late.

Other open mics are: The Abbey at 9.00pm on Monday; Ugly Duck Monday at 7.00pm; The Gantry at 9.00pm on Tuesday; The Bungalow on Tuesday 7.00pm and the Trad Jam at The Anchor on Thursdays from 8.00pm.
