Founded in 1946, the Paisley Pirates will enter their eighth decade with a packed schedule featuring 32 league fixtures and two scheduled Scottish Cup encounters against the Whitley Bay Warriors.
The anniversary season will begin on Sunday 6 September 2026, when the Pirates travel south to face Solway. Further away fixtures against Kirkcaldy, North Ayrshire, Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Whitley Bay will follow before the team finally returns to home ice on Sunday 25 October 2026 against North Ayrshire.
Pirates supporters will then be treated to a busy run of home fixtures throughout the winter, including visits from Dundee, Solway, Kilmarnock, Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Kirkcaldy.
A major addition to the schedule is the return of Scottish Cup action, with the Pirates set to face the Whitley Bay Warriors over two games.
The first Scottish Cup meeting will take place away from home on Sunday 8 November 2026, with a 5.00pm face-off. The return fixture is scheduled for Sunday 29 November, when the Warriors will travel to face the Pirates at 5.00pm.
The two cup fixtures will add another exciting chapter to the long history shared by the Pirates and their North East opponents, while offering supporters an additional knockout competition to look forward to during the anniversary campaign.
The festive period will also bring plenty of hockey, with the Pirates hosting Aberdeen on Sunday 20 December and Edinburgh on Sunday 27 December 2026.
The league schedule will resume in January 2027 with a home fixture against Whitley Bay on Sunday 17 January 2027, before the Pirates enter a demanding final stretch of the season. The campaign is currently scheduled to conclude with an away fixture against Dundee on Saturday 27 March.
The 2026/27 season promises to be a particularly special one for everyone associated with the Paisley Pirates. Across eight decades, generations of players, coaches, volunteers, families and supporters have helped keep the club alive and proudly representing Paisley and Renfrewshire.
