I have been inseparable from radio and music from as far back as I remember.
When I was young, I would spend many hours on end tuning into crackly short wave radio broadcasts from around the world. Then along came the offshore ‘pirate’ radio stations, like Radio Scotland on 242m and Radio Caroline North on 259m in the mid 1960’s and everything changed.
I was listening to music that I enjoyed and connected with.
Having worked on an online station for a while, I was delighted when this opportunity came up to work with Paisley FM 107.5
I like to think that maybe somewhere in our world there is a kid listening in who may be inspired to take up radio broadcasting.
