SUPERPARK GLASGOW IS COMING SOON!

6th Jul 2026

SuperPark Glasgow, situated within Frasers Plus Braehead, the recently rebranded Braehead Shopping Centre, has announced that it will soon be opening its doors to the public.

The 30,000 ft² movement based, multi activity, multi -generational, indoor park, packed with body powered games, revealed last year that it had chosen Braehead as the location for its first ever UK Park.

Part of a global indoor leisure and recreation concept founded in Finland in 2012, once again confirmed as the “happiest country in the world”, SuperPark Glasgow will be located by the restaurant complex within Frasers Plus Braehead.

The new website for this incredible new attraction is now live at www.superparkuk.uk

SuperPark operates twenty eight parks across the world, including Finland, the Middle East, Asia and Australia.

Families will soon discover what makes SuperPark Glasgow different to anything they have experienced before. The all-in-one activity based environment, completely different from traditional children’s play centres or trampoline parks, sees sport, movement and family time come together.

Pitched as an “activity wonderland” for all ages, including parents, who can actively participate alongside their children, SuperPark offers more than 30+ interactive & inclusive activities inspired by football, gymnastics, dance and freestyle sports, among others. Everything at SuperPark is designed to get children – and parents – moving together in a fun and engaging way.

“We are thrilled to reveal SuperPark Glasgow’s opening date. The countdown is on as we build towards sharing this fully inclusive, multi-generational activity park with the people of Glasgow. It’s for children, for teens, for adults, and for everyone of all backgrounds and abilities,” said Jonathan Doherty, Managing Director of SuperPark UK.

Explaining that SuperPark combines sport, technology and education, Jonathan outlined that all activities at the park are built with a coaching mindset, encouraging children to develop coordination, confidence and movement skills while enjoying themselves.

“We hear a lot nowadays on the need to remove children from their screens,” he said. “SuperPark is not about replacing technology, it’s about using it to enhance children’s experiences by making movement more interactive and motivating.”

“There’s nothing passive whatsoever in SuperPark’s offering,” he continued. “Parents and children move, play and succeed side by side. You use your own body, you laugh, you learn. The result is more than just fun: it supports physical wellbeing, social interaction and mental confidence through shared, active experiences.”

As a father living in Glasgow, Jonathan stressed how excited he was that SuperPark was coming to Braehead: “It’s fantastic that Braehead, so close to Glasgow, and within such a vibrant area, is the first in the UK to benefit from something that millions of families worldwide love.  You’ll be able to buy tickets for SuperPark on our website from 20th July.”

A hospitality entrepreneur with successful hotels, cafes and restaurants under his belt, Jonathan’s café concept, Scran + Roadie, situated at Saltmarket in Glasgow, will now open a second outlet at SuperPark Glasgow to cover the park’s food & drink offering.

“Too often, in house cafes fall short of expectations at family attractions. I am thrilled that Scran + Roadie will provide delicious, locally sourced, food and drink for SuperPark clientele. It’s a well priced concept with which Glaswegians are already familiar,” he said.

Situated next to Frasers Plus Braehead’s Restaurant Complex, SuperPark Glasgow will be accessible from both the ground and first floors, with lift access available.

Driven by its consistently high-quality guest experiences at other parks throughout the world, SuperPark is built on well organised and smooth operation. It scores highly in exceptional cleanliness, and in health & safety.

“Friendly and positive staff are at the heart of SuperPark.  It’s another USP that sets up apart,” said Jonathan. “We have been recruiting locally in the area as we build our team.”

He finished by thanking both Renfrewshire Council and the management at Frasers Plus Braehead Shopping Centre for their cooperation, as opening day approaches.

“There’s a real buzz about Frasers Plus Braehead Shopping Centre,” he said. “It is the ideal location for us, with the centre enjoying strong loyalty and demand for even more experience lead concepts. The space is going to be perfect. We are confident that the local populist will benefit enormously from SuperPark Glasgow.  Along with offering jobs and opportunities, we will be engaging with local schools, charities and community groups in the coming months.”

Ashley Bisland, Centre Director at Frasers Plus Braehead Shopping Centre, said: “SuperPark is a fantastic addition to Braehead and we’re incredibly proud that it has chosen the centre as the home of its first UK location.

“Creating memorable days out for our visitors is a key part of our vision at Braehead, and SuperPark is another major step in strengthening our leisure offering alongside our retail and dining experiences. We’re confident it will become a real destination for families from across Renfrewshire, Glasgow and beyond. We’re looking forward to welcoming SuperPark this summer and seeing visitors experience everything it has to offer.”

Lynne Cooper, Regional Director at VisitScotland was keen to add her support to SuperPark Glasgow, commenting that: “It’s very positive an international brand like SuperPark has chosen Scotland as the UK’s first location and a real boost to Renfrewshire’s reputation as a visitor destination.

“We hope this attraction will help encourage visitors into Renfrewshire to spend quality time together. Developments like this help Scotland’s year-round appeal and support the local visitor economy.”

Finally, Alasdair Morrison, Head of Economy and Development Services at Renfrewshire Council, also welcomed the new investment in Renfrewshire, saying: “It is exciting that SuperPark has chosen Frasers Plus Braehead, and Renfrewshire, as the site for its first ever UK investment. This new activity concept should further enhance the leisure offer available in the city region to residents and visitors alike.”
