Award winning Quality Radio plans for New Year 2026

Quality Radio, which covers Renfrewshire and Glasgow, has been awarded Community Radio Station of the Year 2025 as part of the Scottish Enterprise Awards 2025.

The Scottish Enterprise Awards aim to recognise the resilience and adaptability of Scotland’s enterprising community.

These awards highlight the achievements of enterprises such as Quality Radio DAB & 107.5 FM deliver within the Scottish Community Radio sector.

As Quality Radio enters 2026, plans are afoot for another Wellbeing Hub programme on a Friday expanding the popularity of the current Tuesday and Thursday lunchtime programmes.

Also, there will be a second Hospital Request Show for patients at the Royal Alexandra Hospital, Paisley to be broadcast mid-week.

A new studio installation to enable interviews with community figures for live evening and weekend broadcasts will be made available early in the New Year.

Other projects include the formation of a new live music therapy team to visit care homes and sheltered housing complexes in the community.

Norman Ross, Trustee of Quality Radio Enterprise commented: “This award is for all the 30 plus volunteers that work on Quality Radio providing not only music programmes, but also information and support for healthy living with the Quality Radio Well Being Hub during weekdays.”
