Absolute Weller are at The Bungalow on Friday night, 19 December 2025. The band play All things Weller, The Jam and The Style Council and they do it well. The M65’s are on tomorrow afternoon, Saturday 20 December. It is a free entry gig and doors are at 1.00pm.

The Byres Road BIG Band return to The Bungalow for a Special Christmas Show. This is free entry and doors are at 1.30pm and band on at 2.00pm.
Class of ’79 are playing The Bungalow for the first time on Sunday night, 21 December. Let them bring you back to a time when vinyl and cassette tapes ruled – and when the only playlist that mattered was John Peel’s. The Class of ’79 – features Steve Crittall, Phil Thompson, Simon Bowley and Mike Lea – toured with bands including Eddie and the Hot Rods, Rezillos, Vapors, Godfathers, Selecter, UK Subs and more. Tickets on the door from 7.00pm.
On Monday, 22 December, Smokin at Tiffany’s will be pounding out some Disco, Funk, Soul and Motown classics. Time to dance the night away at this free entry Christmas Party. Doors are 7.00pm.
King of Birds return on Tuesday 23 December with their Country Americana Rock Show, and I hear they will be playing some new material from their upcoming album. Support from Sulidae. Tickets on the door from 7.00pm.
Divas Soul are playing an afternoon of classic Motown and Soul on Wednesday, Christmas Eve, 24 December. Doors open at 1.00pm and the show finishes at 5.00pm.
The Bungalow Christmas Eve Party features the perfect party band MRDb. This is free entry from 6.00pm.
The Swan have Graeme Kerr in early for all the teachers who as always are up for a party from 4.00pm. He is followed by The Rox from 8.00pm.
Saturday 20 December afternoon The Headhunters are on from 4.00pm and straight after then it will be a Christmas Party with a DJ and a live sax player.
Sunday Soul Club are having a Christmas Party, and it kicks off at 4.00pm with John and Maria on the decks.
Crawford Carlyle will be playing on Monday from 4.00pm; Lee James starts his comedy and song stage show on Tuesday 23 December at 3.00pm and every second Thursday at 5.00pm and alternatively sometimes it is Cammy Miller. Abbey Road are playing on Wednesday, 24 December at the Christmas Eve Party from 5.00pm.
Greg James is at The Keg on Friday night, 19 December from 9.00pm and on Saturday, 20 December night also at 9.00pm it is Black Dog Forge. The Keg Grassroots Night returns with live music on Thursday from 9.00pm.
The Venue are having a screening of The Grinch stole Christmas on Saturday 20 December. Adults are free and a kid’s ticket includes a small drink and some popcorn on arrival. Check Skiddle for tickets. Doors are at 1.00pm.
Check out Kennedy’s on Sunday 21 December at 3.00pm as Overdrive will be playing some great rock tunes you can sing along to, and later at The Inn on the Corner there will be a live session from Fade in Mod Out at 4.30pm and Underdog are at The Tea Gardens from 6.30pm.
The Open Mic/Stage Sessions next week are: The Abbey at 9pm on Monday, Ugly Duck Monday at 7pm, The Gantry at 9pm on Tuesday, The Bungalow on Tuesday 7pm, The Keg on Wednesday at 8.30pm and The Inn on the Corner has an Open Mic on the last Tuesday of the month.
