Quality Radio is more that just a radio station as it engages with listeners providing music therapy to those who may live alone, or in hospital, sheltered housing.
Quality Radio also provides a Quality Wellbeing Hub for those who need help and advice. It received over 2,438 requests over the last year.
Quality Radio is focused on promoting mental health and wellbeing within the community. The service creates engaging radio programmes, podcasts and online content featuring mental health professionals, community leaders, and personal stories. The aim is to reduce stigma, encourage help-seeking, and empower individuals with practical tools for better mental health.
The Wellbeing podcasts broadcast on Quality Radio on 107.5 FM and DAB radio, and often feature mental health challenges, such as stress, anxiety, depression, social isolation and eating disorders.
These issues can stem from various factors like childhood trauma, work-related pressure, relationship difficulties, financial worries, or navigating life transitions. Many users also struggle with seeking help.
As well as programmes of music, news, and information, Quality Radio creates specific content featuring mental health professionals who share their expertise on coping strategies, self-care techniques.
The Quality Wellbeing Hub provides access to Health Matters, Healthy Minds Matters and Empowering Recovery podcasts which are provided by 35 volunteers promoting mental health awareness, encouraging help-seeking, and empowering individuals with practical tools for resilience.
The charity has been recognised for its work with a Gold award for best special event programme of the year.
Silver award for Best Community show of the year Bronze award for best Volunteer presenter over 60 years
Bronze award for Best specialist programme.

Norman says: “When I retired, I took the opportunity to learn to fly and this enabled me to to fly an original Spitfire at Biggin Hill Airfield in Kent, one of the main bases that saw so much action in World War 2. I completed this challenge on Thursday 21st August 2025.”
Part of my challenge is to perform a Victory Roll which I duly did.
I would hope you can support the charity by donating to the Quality Wellbeing Hub.
