Paisley live music gig guide for this weekend and all next week

Wrong Jovi are at The Bungalow on Friday night, 17 October. They are ‘The Best Bon Jovi Tribute Band In The World’ as described by tribute band expert (Channel 4’s The Convention Crasher) and TV celebrity Justin Lee-Collins.

Wrong Jovi features some of the UKs finest professional musicians. With a set list crammed full of sing-along anthems, live favourites and rarities, audiences are guaranteed the ultimate Bon Jovi tribute show.

Featuring Ally as Jon Bon Jovi (X Factor, The Singer Takes It All and Britain’s Got Talent) aka Jon Wrong Jovi on vocals, Wrong Jovi have one of the UKs most talented front men leading the band through some of rock n rolls most legendary songs. Ally is backed by some of the UK’s most highly respected musicians. ​You can catch them on Friday night, 17 October at The Bungalow, tickets on the door from 7.00pm.

Bobby Deans Big Band return for more Jazz, Swings and Classic Big Band hits fronted by the very talented ‘Mr Smooth’ John Griffin. This is a free entry gig on Saturday 18 October afternoon, and doors open at 1.00pm, with the band starting at 2.00pm. If you want a seat, get in early, this band are packing them in!

Lemon Soul have a free entry gig Saturday night, 18 October. The band cover Soul, Classic Motown, Stax and other artists from the 60’s. Guaranteed to get you dancin’ and singin’. Doors open at 7.00pm.

Itchycoo Park will be playing a full set of classics from the 1960’s and beyond – featuring The Beatles, Stones, Kinks, Hollies & more on Sunday afternoon, 19 October and it is a free gig. Doors are at 1.00pm.

The Tuesday Bungalow Open Stage starts at 7.00pm. If you want to get on stage and jam or play some songs this is for you. The house band will be there to help and full backline available. Free entry.

The Bungalow Wednesday Club starts at 2.00pm with an afternoon of fun from singer John Griffith and the popular anything goes quiz that makes the statement “It’s not the winning, it’s the learning”.

The Bungalow Presents Night on Thursday next week features Disco Mary and more TBA. This is a great opportunity to see the latest up and coming bands. Tickets on the door from 7.00pm.

Voyage Abba hit the Old Swan on Friday night, 17 October with their top singalong show and in support is The Rays. It all starts at 6.00pm, check venue for tickets.

Playing Saturday afternoon, 18 October at 4.00pm is Wreckless followed by Renaissance.

The Sunday Soul Club starts at 4.00pm with John and Maria on the decks. Crawford Carlyle will be playing on Monday 20 October from 4.00pm. Lee James starts his comedy and song stage show on Tuesday, 21 October at 3.00pm and every second Thursday at 5.00pm and alternatively sometimes it is Cammy Miller.  Duncan McLellan kicks off at 4.00pm on Wednesday 15 October.

Zocolla and support are at The Keg on Friday night, 17 October from 9.00pm and on Saturday night, 18 October starting at the same time it will be Blind Panik. Discover new or up and coming talent on Thursdays at The Keg as they have another night of new emerging talent playing their original material. The session kicks off at 9.00pm.

Venue has another very popular line dancing evening on Friday night with Maggie and live band The Jaybees. Tickets on the door from 7.00pm.

Check out Kennedy’s on Sunday 19 October at 3.00pm as Cranked to Eleven just simply do that and more.

The Suspects will be on stage pounding out some rock classics at 4.30pm over at The Inn on the Corner.

The Open Mic/Stage Sessions next week are: The Abbey at 9pm on Monday, Ugly Duck Monday at 7pm, The Gantry at 9pm on Tuesday, The Bungalow on Tuesday 7pm, The Keg on Wednesday at 8.30pm and The Inn on the Corner has an Open Mic on the last Tuesday of the month.
