Berry Tweed and The Chasers (pictured) return to The Bungalow on Friday night, 14 November, with the full band playing a whole lot of soul. This is free entry and doors open at 7.00pm.
The Backtrack Beatles are playing on Saturday 15 November in the afternoon featuring songs from the legendary Red and Blue Beatles albums plus a few deep cuts thrown in for good measure. This is always a busy day, so get along early. This is a free gig and doors are at 1.00pm.
Saturday night, 15 November, Killer Instinct perform a double set of The Killers classics spanning the back catalogue of their albums. For diehard fans, dancers, humans, and anyone who enjoys a live band, this five-piece are known for their musicianship and recreating The Killers sound. Tickets on the door from 7.00pm.
On Sunday afternoon, 16 November, Nick Bold, plays George Harrison, in ‘George! The Concert’. The decision to portray Harrison was an easy one to make. Nick says: “Stepping into Harrison’s shoes might give some musicians pause.” For Nick Bold, the challenge is to live up to the Harrison name. “I hope I do his music and his singing and his guitar playing justice,” he said. “I do believe he is watching over me. He’s been such a huge part of my life.” Tickets on the door at 1.00pm.
The Tuesday Bungalow Open Stage starts at 7.00pm. If you want to get on stage and jam or play some songs this is for you. The house band will be there to help and full backline available. Free entry.
The Bungalow Wednesday Club starts at 2.00pm with an afternoon of fun from singer John Griffith of The Bobby Deans Big Band and the popular quiz – it’s not the winning, it’s the learning!
On Thursday, 20 November, the Introducing Night for new emerging music features When I Was Young, Alaskan Popsicle, and Delta Fire. Check out what is new and current on the scene today. This is an opportunity to see your next favourite band. Tickets on the door from 7.00pm.
Addiction is at The Old Swan on Friday night, 14 November from 8.00pm and on Saturday, 15 November from 4.00pm it is the very popular Epic.
The Sunday Soul Club starts at 4.00pm with John and Maria on the decks. Crawford Carlyle will be playing on Monday 17 November from 4.00pm; Lee James starts his comedy and song stage show on Tuesday 18 November at 3.00pm and every second Thursday at 5.00pm; and alternatively sometimes it is Cammy Miller. Duncan McLellan kicks off at 4.00pm on Wednesday 19 November.
The girl with the amazing voice, Erin Hephzibah is at The Keg on Friday night, 14 November from 9.00pm and on Saturday night, 15 November at the same time is Gordon’s Alive. Discover new or up and coming talent on Thursday at The Keg as they have another night of new emerging talent playing their original material. The session kicks off at 9.00pm.
The Venue have a fantastic day for the family lined up for Saturday 15 November with a K-Pop Demon Hunters Movie Afternoon and Sing-Along Disco. This is a magical K-Pop adventure perfect for the little ones (and the young at heart!) Watch K-Pop: Demon Hunters on the big screen, then dance it out at a K-Pop Sing-Along Disco, full of colour, energy, and fun! Expect music, lights, and smiles all around. Face painting and hair braiding. Doors are at 1.00pm and tickets from Skiddle.
On Saturday 15 November, Raymondo will be at The Inn on the Corner from 4.30pm and on Sunday starting at 4.30pm it is The Latest Flames.
Check out Kennedy’s on Sunday 16 November at 3.00pm as Wreckless will be on stage pounding out some banging rock classics at 3.00pm.
The Open Mic/Stage Sessions next week are: The Abbey at 9pm on Monday, Ugly Duck Monday at 7pm, The Gantry at 9pm on Tuesday, The Bungalow on Tuesday 7pm, The Keg on Wednesday at 8.30pm and The Inn on the Corner has an Open Mic on the last Tuesday of the month.
