Friday 22 November, Talk of the Town are in town and will be at The Bungalow.
They are a tribute to the music of Chrissie Hynde and The Pretenders. Talk of the Town give you the raw sound of the Pretenders fronted with a vocal talent that emulates the iconic voice and sultry poses of Chrissie Hynde.
Let them take you on a punk, pop and rock musical journey through the decades and experience the sound of all the band’s hits from the late 1970s to the mid-1990s. The band pump out hit after hit like their number one ‘Brass in Pocket’ and ‘Up the Neck’ to later songs like ‘Back on the Chain Gang’. Tickets on the door from 7.00pm.
All the best songs from The Beatles and The Eagles will be performed by The Beagles on Saturday 23 November on Saturday afternoon, and it is free entry, doors at 1.00pm.
It’s been a while but the very popular tribute to U2, W2 Live are at The Bungalow on Saturday night, 23 November. Tickets on the door from 7.00pm.
Sunday’s free session is The Square Go’s and doors are 1.00pm. After the live music Bungalaff comedy night is back and as always, is hosted by Richie McMahon. The line up this week is Tattoo Dave, Stevie Mitchell, Kai Powell, John Wallace and the headliner is Rachel Jackson. Tickets on the door from 7.00pm.
It is the last Tuesday of the month, 26 November, so it is Paint and a Pint. This is an open mic with art supplies for all to use and an hour jam at the end. For lovers of art and music – all kinds of creatives. Doors at 7.00pm.
Tom Meighan, the former lead vocalist of Kasabian will be live at The Bungalow on Thursday 28 November. Enjoying large-scale success with Kasabian in the 2000s and 2010s, Tom Meighan has been compared to Liam Gallagher, whom Tom himself has referred to as the “perfect frontman.” Meighan was a founding member of Kasabian along with guitarist Sergio Pizzorno, bassist Chris Edwards, and drummer Ian Matthews, with the band releasing their eponymously titled debut album in 2004. Tom and the band are on the road for an up close and personal run of Raw 24 autumn acoustic shows, and this is his stop off at Paisley. Tickets on the door from 7.00pm.
Saturday night 23 November at Venue, Paisley, Sanctum Sanctorium will be onstage celebrating the dark side of the 1980s. The band bring you all the music from the alt 80’s through the goth scene. Tickets on the door from 7.30pm.
The Old Swan have Howlin Radio in from 8.00pm on Friday night, 22 November and tomorrow, Saturday 23 November at 4.00pm Carlyle fronted by the very talented Crawford Carlyle starts at 4.00pm. They are followed by The Dangerous Brothers at 8.00pm. The Northern Soul Cub dances off at 4.00pm. Crawford Carlyle will be playing on Monday 25 November from 4.00pm. At 4pm on Wednesday 27 November, it is Duncan McLellan. Lee James sings ‘Songs from the Decades’ as well as keeping everyone entertained with his comedy banter and stories on Tuesday and Thursday at 3.00pm.
The Keg have Mark McMillan in on Friday night, 22 November and he starts at 9pm and Saturday night at 9.00pm it is Zocolla. The Thursday Keg Sessions for original bands and artists start at 9.00pm. Marie Sinclair starts off the doubler on Saturday at The Cave from 5.00pm, followed by Durty Mac at 8.00pm, finishing of their live weekend programme it is Emergency Exit on Sunday 24 November from 6.00pm.
Kennedys have Fire In on Sunday, 24 November, and they kick off at 3.00pm while over at The Inn on the Corner, The Plymouth 57’s will be playing from 4.30pm.
