Paisley Live Music gigs this weekend and all next week

What’s got 18 legs, four horns and leaves you smiling, sweaty and hoarse from singing, and they are playing at The Bungalow on Friday night, 19 April?

It means Big Vern n the Shootahs are back onstage and they’re ready to knock your socks off. Renowned as the ultimate feel-good party band, you are guaranteed a spectacular live show with some of the funkiest vibes you’ll have ever heard this nine-piece phenomenon.

You’ll hear a fabulous horn section, the best rhythm players in the business coupled with a new front man who’ll make your hair stand on end. This is a band that audiences never forget, go grab a ticket and see this band live and let your hair down.

Always immaculately turned out, suited, booted and tight, Big Vern are the band that’s always invited back, and they’ll have you singing and bouncing in no time. The sensational Divas Soul Band return for another free gig at The Bungalow on Saturday afternoon, 20 April.  Always a packed venue – arrive early to avoid disappointment. Doors are 1.00pm.

One of the UK’s Premier Live Queen Tribute shows are back to perform Queen’s greatest hits with high energy and charisma. Tickets on the door from 7pm.

SAMA returns to The Bungalow again for another ‘Paisley Takeover’ with Mama Terra, Azamiah, Evelyn Laurie, Tijuana Bibles, BRSR, Saint Sappho & more. This is two-nights of incredible music from Scottish artists in the heart of Paisley. This year the focus is a showcase of jazz. Tickets on the door from 7.00pm.

On Tuesday 23 April, it is your chance to perform on the legendary Bungalow stage. An Open Stage Night open to all genres and levels of skill – either play by yourself or jam with the house band. Doors are 7.00pm.

The Liquid Engineers a Gary Numan Experience is at Venue on Friday night, 19 April. Gary Numan has been cited as a major influence on acts such as Nine Inch Nails to Prince. His music has been covered by acts from Beck, Blur, Basement Jaxx, Africa Bambata, Marilyn Manson, Little Boots and many more. Standing within the smoke and haze effects and with the light show transporting you to the front row seat of a Gary Numan concert. The band pay tribute to Gary Numan’s 40+ music career and are going from strength to strength. Well, known for performing a show that not only gives you those classic hits but also fan favourites and of course those hidden gems that Numan no longer performs Live… They are a 5-piece live band, drums, guitar synths guitar lead guitar creating that huge Numan wall of sound. In support is Unholy Frankenstein. Tickets on the door from 7.30pm.

Screaming Velvet are at The Cave on Saturday 20 April from 5.00pm followed by Durty Mac at 8.00pm. Live action as always on Sunday from 6.00pm.

Midnight Moses are playing from 8.00pm at The Old Swan on Friday night, 19 April and on Saturday 20 April from 4.00pm.  The Soul Club on Sunday 21 April starts at 4.00pm. Acoustic sets next week are Crawford Carlyle on Monday 22 April at 4.00pm, and on Wednesday, also at 4.00pm, it is Duncan McLellan. Lee James is is his usual double slot on Tuesday 23 April and Thursday 25 April at 3.00pm.

The Keg have Brian Kelly in from 9.00pm on Friday night, 19 April and tomorrow night from 9.00pm it is The 79’s with their Glam Rock Show. The Keg Sessions with more original artists is on Thursday 25 April from 9.00pm.

Live bands are at Kennedy’s on Sunday 21 April from 3.00pm and 4.30pm at The Inn on the Corner.

Open Mic/Stage Sessions next week are: The Abbey at 9.00pm on Monday 22 April, Ugly Duck Monday at 7pm, The Gantry at 9.00pm on Tuesday 23 April, The Bungalow on Tuesday 23 April at 7.00pm, The Keg on Wednesday 24 April at 8.30pm and new Open Mic Night at The Cave from 9.00pm on Thursday 25 April.
