Paisley live music this weekend and all next week

The Alarm 2.0 are at The Bungalow on Friday night, 6 March.

Three iconic members of the legendary Welsh rock band The Alarm are back touring as The Alarm 2.0. With a renewed vision and fresh energy, the band pays tribute to its roots while embracing the future with new frontman Matt Peach, who steps into the role with passion and purpose following the passing of original lead singer Mike Peters earlier this year.

The Alarm 2.0 represents more than just a reunion, it’s a revitalization of the band’s core ethos of truth-telling, social consciousness, and unyielding spirit. Tickets on the door from 7.00pm.

Go Steady are back in the Bungalow on Saturday 7 March in the afternoon with two sets of the best of the 1960’s Beat, Mod and Soul for you. Doors are at 1.00pm and it is free entry.

Saturday night, 7 March, Outside the Original (pictured) – a Scottish progressive rock tribute band that focuses on performing music from bands from the likes of: Emerson Lake and Palmer, Genesis, King Crimson Yes and Pink Floyd. The band, formed by James Finnigan (formerly of Hue and Cry and Stiltskin), faithfully reproduces the classics of progressive rock, establishing themselves as “the only must-see prog rock show in the UK”. Tickets on the door on Saturday night from 7pm.

Forget the Sunday roast! Moving Pictures play a much-anticipated show at The Bungalow on Sunday afternoon 8 March.  The band is one of the hardest working bands on the planet, constantly touring the UK, Europe, Brazil and Canada including Lakeside Park for Neil Peart’s family and Massey Hall for RUSHfest Canada in August 2025. Don’t miss your chance to experience the magic of Moving Pictures in person. Tickets on the door from 1.00pm.

The Bungalow Jam kicks off at 7.00pm on Tuesday 10 March. This week it has a different flavour as there will be music, games, a quiz and the usual Open Mic. All the fun starts when doors open at 7.00pm.

The Bungalow Wednesday Club starts at 2.00pm with an afternoon of fun from singer John Griffith of The Bobby Deans Big Band and the popular quiz – it’s not the winning, it’s the learning!

Wednesday, 11 March, is the PaiSlay Drag Show showcasing the best of Scotland’s drag scene. Tickets on the door from 5.00pm. On Thursday Introducing Night, One Good Reason and Graham Robertson will be on stage playing their new original material. These nights are perfect for giving you a glimpse of what the best emerging original talent looks like. Tickets on the door from 7.00pm.

The Swan has Ronnie T on Friday 6 March from 4.00pm, and after him it is Papa Shandy and the Bandits from 8.00pm. Fire In fills the popular live band session at 4.00pm followed by Duncan McLellan at 8.00pm.

The Sunday Soul Club kicks off at 4.00pm; Crawford Carlyle will be playing on Monday 9 March from 4.00pm; Lee James on Tuesday at 3.00pm and every second Thursday at 5.00pm and alternatively sometimes it is Cammy Miller.  Duncan McLellan will be onstage on Wednesday to play a whole load of your favourite songs.

Mark McMillan is at The Keg tonight from 9pm and tomorrow night from 9pm it is Axe Attack. On Thursday you can discover a full line up of new or up and coming talent kicking off at 9pm.

New kids (pub) on the block, Sportsters now have music on Friday nights and Sunday nights. Check them out.

Kennedys have GlasQuo in on Sunday 8 March for some Status Quo headbanging classics from 3.00pm.

Also on Sunday, 8 March at The Inn on the Corner, Reflections will be kicking off later than usual at 6.00pm.

The Open Mic/Stage Sessions next week are: The Abbey at 9pm on Monday, Ugly Duck Monday at 7pm, The Gantry at 9pm on Tuesday, The Bungalow on Tuesday 7pm, The Keg on Wednesday at 8.30pm and The Inn on the Corner has an Open Mic on the last Tuesday of the month.
