The Bungalow has a birthday party for well-known local musician Jay Fitzpatrick’s mum, Alison on Friday night, 17 July, and everyone is welcome to pop in and enjoy a 3-band line up. The fun starts at 7.00pm.
So, you thought the summer is hot, well it’s about to get hotter as The Dead Flowers are heading to The Bungalow for a powerhouse delivery of all the best rock tunes on my playlist, and a wee bit more. It is a free entry gig, doors are 1.00pm on Saturday 18 July and you better get in early as it is always a busy one!
Itchycoo Park are playing a rare Saturday Night Session at The Bungalow on the evening before the World Cup Final on Sunday 19 July 2026. There’s no football to watch, so there’s no excuse not to come along. The band will be ‘picking a team’ comprising a core of songs that were hits from the 60’s & ‘subbing in’ some great song-writing talent into the set as the two ‘halves’ develop. Itchycoo Park’s set list features songs from The Beatles, Stones, Kinks, Who etc., plus some ’60’s inspired’ tunes from various acts from later decades. The gig is free entry, doors 7.00pm. The band will be on-stage from 8.30 to 10.30pm Saturday; reserved in advance, just message the venue on Messenger.
Doors open at 1.00pm on Sunday afternoon, 19 July, for another Sunday free entry gig. The excellent Mod Life Crisis return to The Bungalow with an afternoon of classis MOD tunes.
The Bungalow Jam kicks off at 7.00pm on Tuesday 21 July. This week’s entertainment includes music, games, a quiz and the usual Open Mic. This is free entry.
The Bungalow Wednesday Club starts at 2.00pm with an afternoon of fun from singer John Griffith of The Bobby Deans Big Band the weekly quiz.
On Thursday night, 23 July, it will be The Longshots playing Classic SKA and Rocksteady. The band have recently introduced a new singer, and you will get a chance to see and hear the new line up free. Doors are 7.00pm.
Ronnie T kicks off at The Old Swan from 4.00pm today, Friday 17 July, and following him is a live session from Crawford Carlyle at 8pm. Saturday 18 July has Funky Mama onstage at 4.00pm ready to pound out some of your favourite songs.
The Sunday Soul Club starts at 4.00pm at The Old Swan.
If you have nothing to do on Monday, treat yourself and get to The Old Swan to listen to the fantastic voice of Crawford Carlyle singing some of the best ‘singers’ tunes at 5.00pm.
Lee James on Tuesday at 3.00pm and every second Thursday at 5.00pm and alternatively sometimes it is Cammy Miller. Duncan McLellan will be onstage on Wednesday 5pm.
Greg James will be playing at The Keg tonight, Friday 17 July from 9.00pm. Saturday night, 18 July, from 9pm it is Kofi. On Thursday you can discover a full line up of new or up and coming talent kicking off at 9.00pm.
The Inn on the Corner have Amped playing Saturday 18 July from 5.00pm and on Sunday 19 July from 3.00pm, it is Ragamuffin followed by Lil El at 7.00pm. Kennedy’s have Wreckless from 3.00pm on Sunday 19 July.
Check out the new Trad Night on Thursdays at The Anchor it is great wee night. Bring an instrument and join in or sit back and enjoy the music from Mairead McManus, Katie Boyle, Johnny Canning and whoever turns up on the night. Starts at 8.00pm.
