Quality Radio receives special commendation from the judges of the UK Community Radio Awards 2025.

Quality Radio has received a special commendation from the judges of the UK Community Radio Awards 2025.

Broadcast licensed community radio stations from across the UK entered the annual national awards held this year in Bradford, Yorkshire.

Quality Radio serves Paisley and Renfrewshire and the City of Glasgow on DAB digital radio and 107.5 FM and on apps and smart speakers.

The judges at the UK Community Radio Awards 2025 stated: “This programme was exceptional, informative, professional and covers a wide range of subjects which were beautifully illustrated by the presenter and guests. Subjects that listeners should be 100% interested in. NHS news update is imaginative and informative, and the regular features are to be applauded. It is wonderful, informative radio and a format that could easily be adapted to a programme suitable for BBC Radio 4. Great effort.

The judges added: “The programme entry demonstrated the criteria well. Strong useful and informative entry which deserved commendation.”

Quality Radio Trustee Norman Ross commented: “Although Quality Radio did not win the Specialist Content Show of the Year category, I am pleased and encouraged by the deserved commendation from the UK Community Radio Awards committee recognising the work done by our valued volunteers.”
