Scottish Parliament Election 2026 – Renfrewshire results

The SNP has held all three Renfrewshire Constituency seats in the 2026 Scottish Parliament Election held on Thursday 7 May 2026.

The Count was at the Braehead Arena, Renfrew on Friday 8 May with results just after 3.00pm.

RESULTS

George Adam retained Paisley for the SNP with 13,164 votes.

Neil Bibby, Scottish Labour, was second on 10,136 votes and Alec Leishman of Reform-UK secured third place with 4,620 votes.

Michelle Campbell was then elected as the first MSP for the new Renfrewshire North and Cardonald constituency. Michelle Campbell (SNP) has 14,300 votes; Mike McKirdy (Labour) on 9,424, and Reform UK’s Moira Ramage third on 7,083 votes.

Tom Arthur completed a trio for the SNP in Renfrewshire after holding Renfrewshire West and Levern Valley.

Tom Arthur had 13,819 votes, ahead of Labour’s Paul O’Kane on 10,548 votes and Reform UK’s Jamie McGuire on 5,844 votes.

Turnout was 50.5% in Paisley; 54.1% in Renfrewshire West and Levern Valley.

In East Renfrewshire, the SNP’s Kirsten Oswald has gained a seat in Eastwood Constituency from long-standing Conservative MSP Jackson Carlaw who has held the seat since winning it from Labour in 2016.
