Paisley Live Music Gig Guide

14th Aug 2025

By Tommy McGrory

Happy Mondays tribute Happy Mondaze perform with a live band at The Bungalow on Friday night, 15 August.

The band look and sound like Happy Mondays. The group’s work bridged the Manchester alternative rock music of the 1980s and the emerging UK rave scene, drawing influence from funk, house, and psychedelia to pioneer the Madchester sound. They experienced their commercial peak with the releases Bummed (1988), Madchester Rave On (1989), and Pills ‘n’ Thrills and Bellyaches (1990), with the latter going platinum in the UK. Happy Mondaze will bring those days right back on stage and make you relive those days again. There is also a Club 90s DJ set till 1am. Tickets on the door from 7pm.

Gary’s Rainbow Shop is a Scottish hard rock band known for their big riffs, catchy choruses, and influences from bands like Soundgarden, Biffy Clyro, Foo Fighters, and Alter Bridge. They are a four-piece band from Paisley.

Their music is characterized by sonic familiarity with measured risk-taking, featuring hooks and subtle prog elements. They are described as one of the most exciting bands to emerge from Scotland recently. Gary’s Rainbow Shop might well be Scotland’s best kept secret on the rock scene.
