It’s another big game for Scotland on Friday night, 19 June and at The Bungalow and before the kick-off ‘Restart’ will be playing a free gig bashing out some great songs to get everyone in the mood for the game. You will need tickets for the game to stay on and watch the match. Doors are at 7.00pm.
Doors open at 1.00pm on Saturday afternoon, 20 June for another free entry gig! The Divas Soul give you a classic Motown and Soul experience, from this exceptional live 5-piece band. The Divas Soul band will be punching out an afternoon of quality entertainment and first-class music, covering some of the best-known tracks and artists in the genre. If that wasn’t enough right after they finish the fabulous Lemon Soul will be giving you another helping of great music from 6.00pm. They are a soul band covering Classic Motown, Stax and other artists from the 1960’s. Guaranteed to get you dancin’.
On Sunday evening, 21 June, Not Brothers Promotions have a great line up of up-and-coming acts. They are Evyn, Cupid Stunts and Refused Case Stone. Tickets on the door from 7.00pm.
The Bungalow Jam kicks off at 7.00pm on Tuesday 23 June. This week’s entertainment includes music, games, a quiz and the usual Open Mic. This is free entry.
The Bungalow Wednesday Club starts at 2.00pm with an afternoon of fun from singer John Griffith of The Bobby Deans Big Band the weekly quiz.
On Wednesday, 24 June, it’s more football and before the game, The Big Groove will be playing. Again, it is free, but you need tickets to watch the football. Doors 7.00pm.
On Thursday 25 June, Aziz Ibrahim best known for his work as guitarist with Simply Red, The Stone Roses (post-John Squire) and their former vocalist Ian Brown in whose band he regularly performs with, is at The Bungalow on Thursday 25 June. He is also a member of the H Band with Marillion’s lead singer Steve Hogarth and is involved in the writing of the second H Band album. He has also worked with Paul Weller, Steven Wilson, Asia and contributed to The Players debut album Clear the Decks. Tickets on the door from 7.00pm.
Ronnie T kicks off at The Old Swan from 4.00pm on Friday night, 19 June, and following him is Status No at 8pm. On Saturday 20 June, Wreckless are back and they have a great set list of fantastic tunes for you from 4.00pm.
The Sunday Soul Club kicks off at 4.00pm on Sunday 21 June. You can hear the incredible voice of Crawford Carlyle at 5.00pm on Monday; Lee James on Tuesday at 3.00pm and every second Thursday at 5.00pm, and alternatively, sometimes it is Cammy Miller. Duncan McLellan will be onstage on Wednesday 24 June at 5.00pm.
Cameron King is at The Keg on Friday night, 19 June from 9.00pm and on Saturday 20 June night from 9.00pm it is Rock Therapy (pictured above). On Thursday 25 June you can discover a full line up of new, or up and coming talent kicking off at 9.00pm.
Graeme J Kerr returns to the stage in Sportsters from 8.00pm on Friday night 19 June. Graeme’s repertoire is vast and his skill with a loop pedal gives you a full band experience.
Kennedy’s this week is Cranked to 11 on Sunday from 3.00pm, and later over at The Inn on the Corner it is Amped on Saturday 20 June from 5.00pm and on Sunday Raymondo starts at 6.00pm.
The Open Mic/Stage sessions next week are: The Abbey at 9pm on Monday, Ugly Duck Monday at 7pm, The Gantry at 9pm on Tuesday, The Bungalow on Tuesday 7pm, The Keg on Wednesday at 8.30pm and an Open Mic on the last Tuesday of the month.
