Paisley live music gig guide for the weekend and all next week

It is a night of new emerging talent at The Bungalow on Friday night, 8 March. Join Bitter Suite (pictured above) with support from Torrs and The Era. Tickets on the door from 7.00pm.

The very popular Saturday afternoon sessions continue on Saturday 9 March with Bobby Deans Big Band. Free entry and doors are 1.00pm. The UK Official Tribute Band to the international singing superstar known as Pink,

And one of THE biggest selling acts in the world and a Grammy Award Winner plays for the first time at The Bungalow on Saturday night, 9 March.

Lorraine Colville will rock your world performing two and a half hours of Pink’s hits spanning her 20 year career. She is accompanied by her dancers and is backed with a full live band through a state of the art sound system, an out of this world lighting show and she gives you her absolute all, Pretty As Pink will leave you begging for more. Itchycoo Park are playing a Mothers’s Day Special on Sunday 10 March. It is a free gig and doors are 1.00pm.

On Tuesday 12 March, the Open Stage Session is a ‘Paint and a Pint Special’ fundraiser for Endometriosis UK. All profits from this event including ticket sales will be sent to endometriosis UK who contribute to the support of endometriosis sufferers and provide a reliable source of information to inform the public and patients of this little researched condition. Doors open at 7.00pm. Join Scunnurt at The Bungalow to launch their new single Lemon Tree on Thursday 14 March, with support from Foreign2 and Dying Giant. Tickets £5+bf or £7 on the door from 7.00pm. 

The Mike Andrews Elvis show is at Venue on Saturday night, 9 March. This is a show that will take you from the famous 68 comeback special through to his hugely successful Vegas years. Tickets on the door from 7.00pm. On Sunday 10 March, why not treat your Mother on Mother’s Day. Venue has Mike Andrew performing his UK’s No1 tribute to Robbie Williams. The day is from 1.00 to 6.00pm and includes tea/coffee, sandwiches, cakes, scones, a glass of fizz and a show which is perfect for treating the most important person in your life. 

Live music as always is at The Old Swan on Friday night 8 March from 7.00pm and on Saturday at 4.00pm.

On Sunday 10 March, it looks sold out for The Old Swan Mother’s Day Afternoon.

If you are going you are in for a treat from Graham Millar on sax, Lee James singing his ‘Through the Decades’ set and Brian Leslie on decks 1.00pm to 4.00pm.

Gerry Kirk is playing on Monday from 4.00pm, Lee James is back again on Tuesday 12 March and Thursday 14 March from 3.00pm, Duncan McClellan starts at 4.00pm on Wednesday 13 March.

Small Towns Down are at The Keg on Friday night, 8 March from 9.00pm and on Saturday night ‘The Rawk Gods’ MrDb are back again for more classic rock and some originals. They start at 9.00pm. The Keg Sessions continue on Thursday at 9.00pm for more original acts. 

On Saturday 9 March, due to popular demand the fantastic Paul Weller Experience is back at The Cave from 2.30 – 4.30pm.  Later at 7.00pm it is Dirty Jewels. Emergency Exit is playing on Sunday from 6.00pm. 

Canyon is at Kennedys on Sunday 10 March and over at The Inn on the Corner it is Ragamuffin from 4.00pm.

Open Mic/Stage Sessions next week are: The Abbey at 9.00pm on Monday, Ugly Duck Monday at 7.00pm; The Gantry at 9.00pm on Tuesday, The Bungalow on Tuesday 7.00pm and The Keg on Wednesday at 8.30pm.
